Steven Abel

His career spans over three decades, and Steve, a Fellow of the ASHP (FASHP) has been a key contributor on a national level to identifying areas where pharmacists can and do make a difference.

BIOGRAPHY: Steven Abel has enjoyed a varied and decorated career in pharmacy. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacy, and he's been involved with the Institute for the Advancement of Community Pharmacy and NCPA, helping establish guidelines for pharmacy practice residency.Steven is also an author, and has spent nearly twenty years of his career focusing on what pharmacists can do to make a difference. He's enjoyed practicing in every area of pharmacy - community, hospital, sales, ambulatory care in a clinic, and academia. With his extensive background working with students and identifying areas where pharmacists dramatically improve patient care and reduce expense, Steven is an excellent source for questions from young pharmacists and others seeking to promote pharmacy's value within their hospitals and communities.
