This project was launched during the FIP-YPG activities at FIP Congress in Singapore, 2001. The aim of the award is to promote innovation in the profession of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences through creative projects by young pharmacists - use your imagination and creativity to address a specific issue or problem in any field of the profession or of the pharmaceutical sciences, that may be improved through an innovative intervention to have a positive impact on the community.
The award consists of a free registration, a return airfare and hotel accommodation to attend the FIP Annual congress, to be held in Nice, France, August 31 - September 5, 2002. The winner will also receive 1,000 (one thousand) Euro towards the implementation of the project. The winner will present the project during the Congress, where an exhibition of posters from participating projects will take place.
Participation is open to young pharmacists who are members of the YPG. Participants are limited to submitting one project per year. Any project previously awarded a national-level prize in another competition cannot be considered.
Entries must be submitted in English language and consist of 5 parts:
Part 1. Subject. Description of the issue, its impact on the community and any potential consequences of not improving the situation.
Part 2. The research. Research performed to obtain the evidence of the impact of the issue on the community.
Part 3. The project. Your idea and proposed intervention.
Part 4. How your solution will work in practice. Data that demonstrates the feasibility of the project, detailing the resources required.
Part 5. Poster Presentation. Visual representation of the 4 previous parts: a poster that can suitably present the project, its background and feasibility.

All entries received will be screened for compliance with the rules, and evaluated anonymously by a judging panel that will include representatives from the YPG, the FIP Foundation for Education and Research, and may include officers of any sponsoring organizations. Criteria for evaluation will consist of creativity, innovation, scientific accuracy, relevance to the community, feasibility, and clarity of communication.
The winner will be announced by August 1, 2002.
